Is anyone else bringing back in-person volunteers? We are starting with a few volunteers. Masks are still required. We developed a training on COVID and agency procedures for staff. We are asking volunteers to take the same course. What else are you doing in terms of process for returning volunteers?
I'm in a similar situation right now and we're also using some of the materials that were developed for staff. I'm also taking this opportunity to have folks take some extra training courses, review a new vol handbook and volunteer agreement before they can come back. I made everyone inactive so it's easier to keep track of things as they return. It's a nice time for a fresh start :)
With the President's announcement last week (vaccination as a requirement for workers in organizations with over 100 people), is anyone asking for proof of vaccination for volunteers? If so, how are you storing that information?
We are bringing back in person volunteers using DocuSign to have them fill out an attestation stating they are vaccinated. They also submit a copy of their vaccination card. All volunteers also take training delivered via video.
Started requiring vaccinations for volunteers in September - we just need to see the card, them mark as complete in Volgistics; we don't store it. As others shared, we also added a new covid-themed volunteer agreement for folks to sign.
Thank you, Emily and Camille! I really appreciate your sharing.
