At Habitat for Humanity, we believe that everyone deserves a stable and affordable place to call home. Habitat for Humanity Portland Region is an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We are proud to be among the top affiliates in the nation with leading edge program development, construction, innovation, and fundraising. We are invested in creating a Portland Region where everyone has the opportunity to build a better life.

We are intentional about building a healthy and thriving organizational culture and envision a community of staff, partners, volunteers, and donors who are deeply committed to equitable and anti-racist practices in every facet of our organization. We engage in continual learning and seek ways to operationalize equitable practices. Our Equity Statement and Cultural Compact are living, breathing documents that we continually work toward.

The Store Volunteer Coordinator focuses on volunteer program administration and engagement within the ReStore. This individual works in tandem with both the Store Manager and Volunteer Program Manager to ensure successful implementation of the volunteer program and programmatic goals at the store. The Store Manager provides day-to-day supervision and support; the Volunteer Program Manager provides programmatic instruction and staff development. The three positions work collaboratively to establish SMART goals for the fiscal year - the Store Volunteer Coordinator then aims to achieve those goals by empowering staff and volunteers to work diligently toward the goals and mission of Habitat for Humanity Portland Region by providing an excellent experience for all of our patrons. (i.e., volunteers, donors, shoppers, and staff.)

The ideal candidate has a positive disposition and flexible attitude, is a team player and master problem-solver, and thrives on social interaction.
