Multnomah County Library is seeking trainers to deliver Summer Reading Program training to Summer Reading volunteers. The curriculum will be delivered in a classroom style setting at a variety of library locations this May and June.

Time commitment: Trainers commit to a minimum of four, 2.5 hour trainings and up to ten hours of prep time
Locations: various library locations across Multnomah County
Tasks and responsibilities:

Attend train the trainer session to learn about the training curriculum and delivery

Prepare to deliver the training content

Arrive at the library location a minimum of 30 minutes early

Deliver training content to volunteer groups (typically between 15 - 20 volunteers)

Share feedback with Volunteer Services staff for continuous improvement of the training materials and delivery
Payment: This is a contract engagement. $250 per commitment, not to exceed $2000 or 7 trainings and one train the trainer session.
About the training:
This training is designed to provide Library volunteers with the information they need to support the Summer Reading program. Most Summer Reading volunteers are between the ages of 13 - 17, with a few adult volunteers.
This training will happen during the last week of May and the first two weeks of June. Each training is 2.5 hours in length. The first 2 hours are facilitated by the trainer and the last 30 minutes are facilitated by the library staff.
