OCF is preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2023. To celebrate the spirit of volunteerism “Inspiring Kindness Across Oregon”
we are asking the question - What Impact Can You Make in 50 Hours? We are creating a list of volunteer opportunities for community members and want to provide A list of volunteer activities that will demonstrate 50 hours of community impact !

Hi Sonja! Thanks for doing this. At SMART Reading, we ask volunteers for a commitment to the entire school year if possible, so I don't want to have your message give the impression that volunteers can only volunteer for 2 hours. Each weekly reading session is 1 hour, and there are 27 reading sessions over the school year, so a total of 27 hours of impact.
We have also recently merged with the Children's Book Bank, so you might want to include a session of 2 hours of repairing previously loved children's books for re-distribution to students.
