I'm in the process of reworking a volunteer admin. assistant position and wondering if it's appropriate to ask/allow volunteers to access software that stores volunteer/donor info? If so, what safe guards do you have in place?
In previous organizations I worked for when we have volunteers do database admin work, we had them sign an additional confidentiality/ IT Services agreement.
At SMART, all of our office volunteers are required to sign a volunteer agreement that includes a section on Confidentiality and a section on Publicity release.
