Hi Jenn! We have the ability to do one-way texting with volunteers through Volgistics for things like schedule reminders and quick messages but we rarely use it. We tried to get volunteers to opt in a few years ago (it's not legal to opt people in to texts without their consent) and didn't get much traction. Since it's only one-way communication it didn't end up being that useful for our needs anyway. 

If you find something amazing I'd love to hear about it! We'd love to have the ability to text our volunteers, especially since so many people don't check email very often (many of our youth volunteers especially).
