The NOVAA Learning Community – Volunteer management professionals gathering around relevant topics to both teach and learn from their peers in facilitated conversations.

Effective volunteer engagement relies on recognizing volunteers in meaningful ways. Many volunteer managers and coordinators are searching for innovative ideas to do this well. Are you faced with the challenges of changing volunteer motivations, small budgets, and little time? Come share your ideas about which forms of recognition have worked well in your program, and get some new and inovative ideas from your peers.

Please join fellow NOVAA members for a peer-to-peer discussion focused on volunteer recognition. We’ll kick off the conversation by hearing from June Bass, CVA (Volunteer Services Manager for Multnomah County Libraries), and Kyle Hummel (Corporate and Community Relations Coordinator for Oregon Food Bank) who will share thieir experiences, and highlight best practices on volunteer recognition.

Most of the session will be spent in peer-to-peer discussion, so please come with your ideas and questions about volunteer recognition.
