A NOVAA Learning Community event is where volunteer management professionals gather around relevant topics to both teach and learn from their peers in facilitated conversations

Estimates show that Oregon has the seventh highest per capita trans population in the United States thanks to the legal and medical protections the state provides. Couple this with a high rate of activism and volunteerism within the trans community and you have a recipe for enthusiastic and highly devoted volunteers for your organization.  Kit Lorelied and Sinclair St. Sinclair  (Tualatin Public Library) will  outline some ways to make trans volunteers feel welcome and supported as they give back to their community.

There will be time for peer-to-peer discussion focused on implementing ways to welcome and support transgender volunteers, so come with your ideas and questions for fellow NOVAA members!
